Overview
SF Pro is the system font for iOS and iPadOS.
Refer to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for the type scale:
Dynamic type
We have several dynamic type styles available within our iOS Library. The name dynamic type comes from an accessibility feature from Apple that scales type in the interface based on a user’s font size selection. To learn more about dynamic type, check out Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines on Typography. The purpose of these styles is to provide the team with variable type sizes (as provided from the HIG) so that designers can easily mock up designs with larger type sizes.
How to use dynamic type
Sizes
There are currently 2 dynamic type sizes: xxxLarge and AX5.
Usage
Dynamic type can be applied by finding xxxLarge or AX5 under each type style title.
Compatible components
Some of our components in Figma are compatible with dynamic type and you’ll have no issues changing the font size. However, due to the limitations of Figma, some components are not technically possible to customize in a way that accommodates for all type sizes and scenarios. If you are finding a component is breaking or not working with dynamic type, you will need to tweak the component settings to make it work. Feel free to reach out to Crystal Wong if you need help with this.
